BUSINESS RECORDS
Ayrshire Archives holds a number of significant business deposits relating to various commercial and industrial activities, such as coal mining, architectural design and transport.
Solicitors papers, however, form the bulk of the Centre's business collections.
These include the records of :
- David Shaw and Co., Ayr (1892-1918)
- Jamieson and Beattie, Galston (1841-1930).
These collections are important sources for local history, comprising inventories, titles, financial records and correspondence.
