IMPORTANT NOTICE

Ayrshire Archives is currently closed and we are unable to answer any historical enquiries at present.

It is regrettable that only a restricted Archive Service is currently available to the public. This situation has arisen, principally, as a result of an anticipated relocation of the service in August 2008 and a need to pack all items away for transport around that date.

Negotiations concerning the relocation have not gone as quickly as hoped or anticipated but may conclude at any time and we are reluctant, therefore, to go through the lengthy process of unpacking, only perhaps in just a few weeks, to have to reverse the process.

It is frustrating to us all that at this time we are unclear of where or when the service will reopen to the public but please be absolutely assured the matter is priority and neither unanswered question will remain so any longer than is absolutely necessary.
